Hip-Hop Program Description
A physically challenging dance form, focuses on individuals expressing personal attitudes and thoughts through dance in an improvisational setting. Hip Hop includes many of the Break Dance elements but not all. At each technique level offered at Peak, the following areas are addressed: tools of the trade, history, b-boying, b-girling, tumbling, and musicality. Students may enter level 1 with no experience; however, they must get teacher permission to enter levels 1-5.  |  Ages 6+

Official Dress Code for Hip-Hop Dance Classes 
Female:
For these classes, we will measure and order students a black tank leotard ($18/$22) and black leggings ($22/$24) to be worn during all Watch-Week Classes and during the Winter Recital.
Male: For these classes, we will measure and order students a black short-sleeved Shirt ($22/$24), and black legging pants ($TBD) to be worn during all Watch-Week Classes and during the Winter Recital.

  • Appropriate Shoes: Tennis shoes with white soles, that have NEVER been worn outside with no rocks in the soles.

  • Hair: Pulled up away from the face in a low ponytail. If hair is too short then please have it pulled back in clips.
