Exploratory Program Description
Inspires young students to explore and create movement. Through foods, colors, animals, weather, rhymes, and other elements found in the child's home environment, teachers expose students to a variety of different movement forms including Ballet, Tap, Poms, Hip-Hop, Tumbling, and Jazz. Three weeks each month are dedicated to teaching students the fundamentals of Ballet and Tap, and the fourth week of each month is dedicated to exploring additional movement styles such as Poms, Hip-Hop, Tumbling, or Jazz. Our goal is to give the student a fun-filled, safe, and enjoyable experience so that they will want to dance for years to come. A schedule is given out on the first day of each semester and outlines exactly what will be happening in each class and when parents are encouraged to come and watch the class. No experience is necessary before participating in any of our Exploratory Classes.  |  Ages 3-7

Official Dress Code for Combo Classes
Pre-School Dance(ages 3-5) & 5-7 Combo (ages 5-7):

  • Female: For these classes, we will measure and order students a pink short-sleeved leotard ($21) and a pink pull-on skirt ($19) for Pre-School or a black pull-on skirt ($19) for 5-7 Combo. These will be worn during all Watch-Week Classes and during the Winter Recital. Students must also have Ballet Pink Tights ($15) and Pink Ballet Slippers for Pre-School or Black Jazz Shoes for 5/7 Combo.

  • Male: For these classes, we will measure and order students a white short-sleeved T-Shirt ($25) and black dance pants ($28). Students must also have Black Ballets Slippers, thin white cotton socks short, and brief undershorts for younger ages.

  • Note: If you don’t have shoes and tights at home, check out our start-up packages for Pre-School and 5-7 Combo Classes. This will save you some money.

    • Pre-School or 5-7 Combo Classes
      Start-Up Package: $85
      Includes:       Pink Ballet Slippers, Tap Shoes, Pink Tights, Pink Skirt for Pre-School or Black Skirt for 5-7 Combo.

8-12 Combo (ages 8-12):

  • Female: For these classes, we will measure and order students a black tank leotard ($20) and black leggings ($25). These will be worn during all Watch-Week Classes and during the Winter Recital. Students must also have Black Jazz Shoes.

  • Male: For these classes, we will measure and order students a black short-sleeved T-Shirt ($25) and black dance pants ($28). Students must also have Black Jazz Shoes, thin black cotton socks short, brief undershorts for younger ages, or a dancer’s belt starting at age 10.
