Creative Arts Workshops

Peak is offering creative arts workshops on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays! These workshops range from 1 hour to 3 hours and are open to a variety of different ages and levels. Class sizes are limited to between 6-10 students. We look forward to helping you find your inner creative soul. To sign up, go to the Peak Home Page and either create an account or login to your account. Make sure to choose the appropriate session, “Creative Arts 2026-2027”, then select the course or courses that you want. There is a 10% discount after the first full-price workshop. There is also a 10% discount for multiple family members. If it is a parent/child course, only the parent needs to sign up and the fee covers both parent and child.

Learning to use a Sewing Machine and First Project
Child (ages 7-12) with Parent: 3 Hour Workshop: Saturday, September 12 (9:00-12:00pm) or

In this class students will learn how to operate their sewing machine to complete simple fabric based projects. Topics will include basic machine operation and trouble shooting, the basics of fabric types and selection, straight and zig-zag stitches, creating hidden seams, and edge finishing. Projects include a fleece beanie hat and matching scarf. Fabric and thread will be provided.Subsequent levels include Beginning Sewing, intermediate sewing (following a pattern for garment construction) Intermediate Sewing (mending and alterations) and Advanced sewing (topics determined by students).  
Materials: Students are required to bring their own sewing machine in good working order and scissors.

Sound Bath
Teens (13+) with Parent Permission or Adults (18+): 1.15 Minute Workshop, Saturday, September 12 (6:00-7:15pm)

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you’re surrounded by soothing sounds and vibrations created by instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums. As you lie comfortably and allow the sounds to wash over you, you’re invited to slow down, quiet the mind, and release tension from the body. Many people describe the experience as meditative, calming, and restorative. It’s a peaceful opportunity to disconnect from everyday distractions and reconnect with yourself.
Materials: Bring a yoga mat, water, and a pillow or blanket if you would like.

Ceramic Blessing Cup Glazing
Teens: 2 Hour Workshop: Sunday, September 13 (2:00-4:00pm) or

Design and Paint a Stoneware Blessing Cup to Infuse Each Drink with Healing Intention. This process will be preceded by a meditation with Cacao and Tea.

Intuitive Art: Mixed Media Painting - Creative Expression/Grounded Connection

Artists are invited to join in an internalized exploration focused intently on the healing experience of self-expression in a safe and loving space. This practice will include a variety of different projects and materials and is open to all. The only requirement for participation is the willingness to set judgment aside and engage clearly with one’s curiosity and intuition. This practice pairs a guided meditation with an art-making experience.

Beginning Sewing: 2 Projects

Prerequisite: Learning to Use a Sewing Machine

In this class students will continue to build upon the skills from the last session and learn a few new ones. Topics include: sewing around curves, layering fabrics, and creating linings and drawstring channels. Projects are a cloud shaped pillow, and a lined drawstring backpack. Fabric, thread, stuffing, and drawstrings are provided. Subsequent levels include intermediate sewing (following a pattern for garment construction) Intermediate Sewing (mending and alterations) Advanced sewing (topics determined by students). 
Materials: Students are required to bring their own sewing machine in good working order and scissors.

Healthy Smoothies & Shakes

Following a Packaged Pattern for Garment Construction

Prerequisite: Confident Sewing Machine Operation

In this class students will learn how to follow a packaged pattern to make a basic garment. The project for this class is making a pair of elastic waist pajama pants. The pattern comes in sizes from kids to adults and will be provided. Fabric type and amount will be communicated prior to class. Subsequent levels include Intermediate Sewing (mending and alterations) and Advanced sewing (topics determined by students).
Materials: Students are required to bring their own sewing machine in good working order, scissors, fabric, thread. Pattern provided.

Intro To Loom Knitting

Children 11+ through Adult: 3 Hour Workshop: Saturday, September 26 (1:00-4:00pm)

In this class students will learn the basics of loom knitting in the round and make a simple project. Skills include casting on, e-wrap (knit) stitch, Pearl stitch, decreases, and casting off. Project will be a basic beanie hat.
Materials: Bring a 36-peg round knitting loom, yarn hook, and needle. Yarn provided.

Dream Tending
Adult (18+): 1.5 Hour Workshop: Saturday, September 26 (6:00-7:30pm)

A dream tending workshop is a reflective space where you can explore the meaning, emotions, and messages within your dreams. Through guided practices, discussion, and creative exercises, you’ll be invited to slow down and connect more deeply with your dream experiences. Rather than focusing on one fixed interpretation, dream tending encourages curiosity and personal reflection. It offers a supportive opportunity to discover new insights, perspectives, and connections between your dreams and waking life.
Materials: Bring a notebook, pen or pencil, and any recent dreams you would like to explore for deeper meaning.

Interior Design: Redesign a Room (1 Session)

A room redesign is an opportunity to create a space that truly reflects you, your family, and the way you live and use the room. Explore how color, window coverings, furniture layout, and lighting can transform the look, feel, and function of your space. Incorporate beloved keepsakes and meaningful pieces to add personality, warmth, and a sense of connection. Together, we’ll create a room that feels intentional, comfortable, and uniquely yours.
Materials: Bring photos of the space, room dimensions (width, length, and height), and locations of windows and doors.

Interior Design: Redesign a Room (2 Session)
Adult (18+): 2 Hour Workshop (Session): Friday, October 9 (5:30-7:30pm)

The second workshop builds on the ideas and inspiration from the first session, taking your room redesign one step further. We’ll dive deeper into how color, lighting, window coverings, furniture placement, and meaningful keepsakes can work together to create a cohesive and personal space. You’ll have an opportunity to refine your ideas, explore new possibilities, and make thoughtful choices that reflect your family and how you truly use the room. By the end, you’ll have a clearer vision and practical direction for bringing your redesigned space to life.
Materials: Bring photos or samples of any furniture, artwork, rugs or flooring you want to use in the space.

Intermediate Sewing: Mending and Alterations
Teens (13+) & Adult: 3 Hour Workshop: Saturday, October 3 (9:00-12:00pm)

Prerequisite: Confident Sewing Machine Operation

In this class students will learn how to repair and alter existing garments. Topics include hemming, taking in and letting out, darning, patching, and, seam and zipper repair.
Materials: Students are required to bring their own sewing machine in good working order, scissors, thread & 3-4 items needing repairs and/or alternation.

Intermediate Loom Knitting & 2 Projects

Children 11+ through Adult: 3 Hour Workshop: Saturday, October 3 (1:00-4:00pm)

Students will continue to build their loom knitting skills by learning to loom knit in rows and double knit utilizing an oblong loom. Projects for this class are a dish scrubby and a scarf

Spooky Clay Creation Project (1 Session)

Get into the Halloween spirit with a fun, hands-on clay creation workshop! In this first session, you’ll learn the basics of working with clay as you shape and sculpt your own spooky creation. Whether you make a creepy creature, haunted house, friendly ghost, or something uniquely your own, you’ll have the freedom to let your imagination run wild. Your finished piece will be set aside to dry and be prepared for the next workshop, where you’ll bring it to life with color and glaze.

It’s time to bring your spooky clay creation to life! In this second workshop, you’ll learn how to apply glazes and choose colors that give your piece personality, character, and a little Halloween magic. You’ll explore different glazing techniques and have fun experimenting with color, details, and finishes. By the end of the session, your spooky creation will be ready for its final firing and will become a one-of-a-kind piece to enjoy for years to come.

Intro to Jewelry Making: Spooky Time Jewelry

Intro To Crochet & First Project

In this class students will learn the basics of crochet and make a simple project. Crocheting in the round, and in rows will be covered. Basic stitches such as chain, magic circle, single, and double crochet will be taught as well as the notation for these stitches and how to read written crochet patterns. The project for this class will be a set of coasters.

Intro To Leather Crafting and First Projects
Children (11+) and Adult (18+): 3 Hour Workshop: Sunday, October 25 (9:00-12:00pm)

In this class students will learn all about leather as a material as well as basic skills to make simple projects. Projects and skills include a flower clip to learn punching holes and setting rivets, a small pouch to learn lacing, and a bracelet or key fob to learn tooling (stamping) and dyeing.

Intermediate Crochet: 2 More Projects
Children (11+) and Adult (18+): 3 Hour Workshop: Sunday, October 25 (1:00-4:00pm)

Prerequisite: Intro to Crochet

Students will continue building skills learned in the intro session as well as learning half double, and triple crochet stitches, among others, and their notations. Projects include a headband and a small stuffed animal.

Intermediate Leather Craft: 2 More Projects

In this class students will continue to develop skills learned in the intro session, as well as learning stitching techniques. All these skills will be combined to make a card wallet, and coin purse.

Family Holiday Digital Photos: Learn How to Stage and Take a Great Holiday Photo of Your Family
